BBQ Sauce

Barbecue Sauce

2 TB. Butter
2 small onions chopped2 tsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. vinegar or lemon juice2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. dry mustard1 tsp. chili powder
1 ½ cups tomatoes or juice Simmer and pour over cooked meat. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Baked Chicken

1tsp paprika
1tsp garlic powder
1tsp salt

(Mix Together)
 1 can cream of mushroom
1cup cream or 3/4cup canned milk

put chicken in 9by13 pan cook for 1 1/2 hours at 350 
cooked uncovered


Apricot Jam

5cups apricots pitted and mashed
5cups sugar
4cups crushed pineapple

Bring to a boil string constantly
Stir in two large jello's
simmer 15mins to desired thickness
 ladle into hot jars. seal. let sit on counter top
for 24 hours refrigerate any that don't seal. 

Applesauce bread

1/3 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1-1/4 cups applesauce
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

 

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add the egg and applesauce; mix well. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cloves. Stir into creamed mixture just until moistened. Fold in raisins and nuts.

Pour into a greased 8-in. x 4-in. loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely. Yield: 1 loaf.

Apple-Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookies

Apple-Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookies

1¼ cups butter 1 tsp. baking soda
¾ cup brown sugar 1 tsp. salt
½ cup sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg ¼ tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla 1½ cups flour
10 packets apple-cinnamon instant oatmeal*
Preheat oven to 375°. Mix butter, sugars, egg & vanilla. Sift in dry ingredients except oatmeal, mix well. Stir in oatmeal. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Press to desired thickness with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake 8-10 minutes or until bottom of cookies are golden. Leave on cookie sheet 1 minute before removing to cool. Store in an airtight container. Makes about 4½ dozen.
*You can substitute any flavor of instant oatmeal, or use 3 cups quick oats.

4cups carrots

Bake 350 1hour 15min

1/2 cup shorting 
1 cup sugar
1 egg 
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup applesauce
1 cup nuts
1 cup raisins 

Mix flour, cinnamon, net meg and salt together
Dissolve baking soda into applesauce
Alternate between applesauce and the flour mixture into the dough
Mix together
put on baking sheet 
preheat oven at 350 bake for 15 min

Apple Sauce Cake

 Ingredients
 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted before measuring
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup melted butter
2 cups applesauce

Directions for applesauce cake.
Into a mixing bowl, sift together the dry ingredients. 
Add raisins, chopped walnuts, melted butter, and applesauce. 
Beat until well blended. 
Pour batter into greased and floured 9-inch square pan or 11 3/4 x 7 1/2 baking pan.
Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes. 
Cool and spread with cream cheese or butter frosting.
If desired, decorate applesauce cake with grated orange peel and walnut halves.

Apple Kuchen

1/2 cup margarine/butter 
(1 stick soft) 
1 package yellow cake mix 
(do not bake use package right from box)
1/2 cup coconut

Mix together put in 9 by 13 greased pan
Bake at 350 for 10 mins

Mix 1 cup sour cream
With 1 egg
Then Slice 2 1/2 - 3 cups apples
Sprinkle apples with
1/2 cup sugar mixed with cinnamon
Mix together
& place on top of warm baked crust

Then bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. 
Serve with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream or whipped topping.
 




Apple Dicky

Lump of butter – 2oz
1 cup sugar
3tsp backing powder
2 cups flour
½ cup water
pinch of salt
1 egg



Put sliced apples (or apple sauce) in baking dish. 
Pour batter over apples. 
Sprinkle with spices (nutmeg, cinnamon.) 
Dot with butter

 

Angel Fingers Cookies

Angel Fingers Cookies
A yummy Christmas tradition around the Turner Home.

1 cup margarine(Butter) (1/2 pound)
6 T Powder Sugar
2 Cups flour 
2 Cups nuts


Mix margarine (butter) and sugar
Slowly add the flour
Then nuts
Mix well
Shape Like a finger


350degrees for 20 mins
Roll in powder sugar while warm (not hot)
Makes 46 - 52 cookies

One recipe i found online
1 c. butter, softened
6 tbsp. powdered sugar
2 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. ground walnuts
 
Cream butter and sugar. Add flour, then vanilla and nuts. Shape into little rolls 1 1/2 inches long the diameter of a finger. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool, then dust with powdered sugar.

Alfredo Sauce

Alfredo Sauce

½ cup butter
¾ cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
½ cup cream or half and half and
2 teaspoons dried parsley.

Melt butter in sauce pan, once melted add in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese, cream (or Half and half), and the dried parsley.
Stir constantly until cheese is melted. If sauce is not thick enough, you can add more Parmesan cheese, a little at a time until its thick enough.

Boil 6oz. of pasta until done and serve with sauce.
